He is a Jedi

Last week Dawson had Jedi Training camp at the Omaha Children's Museum.  It was a week long camp and was his birthday gift from Dan and I.  He was so excited to go that he was counting down the days.  He wore a Star Wars shirt everyday to camp.  Now I know what you are thinking, he had that many Star Wars shirts?  Really that is just the beginning.  Dawson has enough Star Wars shirts that he could wear one every day for two weeks.  He has General Grievous shoes and of course Star Wars underwear and pj's.  Here are some pictures of Dawson on his last day of camp.  I got to come and see what they had done all week.

This is a moon station for Naboo that they built from newspaper and boxes.

Darth Vader came to visit.

Here is Dawson by the moon station.

Here is Dawson standing next to Anakin Skywalker at the Alpha Station.

The kids built Star Wars ships from Legos, learned about the planets, built their own battle droid, played stump Jedi Master Jason (you know, ask him questions like what was the name of the creature that tried to eat R2D2 and then spit him back out) and learned how to do Jedi fighting moves.  After the last day Dawson wanted to go out to lunch to celebrate him finally becoming a Jedi.  We had to call him Jedi Dawson the whole day.  He called Emma a Padawan.  She had not completed her training yet:)

Here is Dawson using the force to have the server bring him more to drink.

It was a fun week for our buddy.  It was also good for him to go and do something that he had never done before.  He often is too nervous to try new things (I have no idea where he gets that from).  Also, if you were wondering, it was a swamp slug that tried to eat R2D2 and then spit him out.
